The Project

The Laidlaw Foundation is preparing a special report to mark ten years of commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action. 

This report will reflect on the Foundation’s progress in areas such as education, child welfare, criminal justice, and Indigenous youth engagement. Designed for both internal reflection and external impact, the report will highlight Indigenous voices, showcase intentional decolonizing practices, and acknowledge the ongoing journey toward reconciliation. 

Outcome

The report design features a clean, accessible layout with an Indigenous-focused aesthetic that is bright, celebratory, and culturally sensitive. It speaks to Indigenous partners, internal teams, funders, and the public, with relevant imagery and highlighted quotes throughout. The final files are optimized for both print and interactive digital formats, with the design process unfolding over only four weeks.

The report was shared with the Laidlaw Foundation’s network at an event on Tuesday, September 16th, with positive reflections.
