I am happy to be named a judge for this year's Trailblazer Awards for design students from under-represented and marginalized communities.
I am always inspired by the talent and creativity of emerging designers. My goal as an awards judge is to uplift others and make a positive impact. In previous years, I have participated as an awards judge in the Indigenous Design category.
About the Awards
In 2022, the RGD is presenting the Student Trailblazer Awards for the second year to celebrate and recognize the unique journeys and barriers many students face as they develop their design skills. $5,000 will be distributed for these Awards.
Since its launch in 1998, the RGD has distributed over $350,000 CAD through the Student Awards Program.
This year's Student Awards received 806 submissions from 274 students attending 35 different post-secondary schools across Canada.
